A Tribute to My Father: The Foundation of Togetheren

Sep 18, 2025

The personal story behind Togetheren's founding - a tribute to the man who taught me that bringing people together is the foundation of all meaningful work.

Written by Rob Saric, Founder of Togetheren

On September 18, 2025, I lost my dad, Bosko Saric. He was 80 years old and the most optimistic person I've ever knownthe most optimistic person I've ever known.

Always Smiling, Always Believing

For 30 years, my dad worked midnight shifts at Ford Motor Company so he'd never miss making me breakfast, driving me to school, or attending my events. He chose presence over convenience, love over sleep. He never stopped believing in me – not once, not ever.He never stopped believing in me – not once, not ever.

Dad had this incredible gift: genuine love for people and an unrelenting desire to help his community. Whether at the Serbian Gračanica Church where he was a member for 50 years, or just in everyday life, he built togetherness wherever he went. He was always smiling, always connecting people, always working towards common goals.

The Gift He Gave Me

I was blessed to have someone that present my entire life. Most people never experience having someone believe in them so completely. Dad taught me that love needs to be unrelenting, and that you can never love too much.

When I think about what Togetheren really iswhat Togetheren really is, it's my personal canvas to co-build ventures with incredible people – to continue Dad's journey of believing in each other and making a dent in the universe.

His Legacy Lives On

Togetheren exists because of what Dad showed me every single day: that genuine care for people, relentless optimism, and working together towards something meaningful is how real change happens.

I will pass this on to my kids, just as he passed it to me. The gift of knowing how to love. Unrelenting love.

You were the coolest dude, Tata. This one's for you.You were the coolest dude, Tata. This one's for you.
